NDIS Your Way - a division of Carer Support
If you have a disability, we care about life your way. Carer Support's dedicated, knowledgeable team can provide your family with hassle-free plan management and coordinate supports in your NDIS plan.
What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new way of helping people with a disability to receive support.
It not only changes the way that individuals get the support they need, but also affects support for carers.
Many families find it difficult at first to manage an NDIS plan and understand what’s available.
How the NDIS works
Under the NDIS you, or the person you care for, have a choice about the support you need, and who provides it.
The process starts with checking that you are eligible, then making a plan based on your goals, circumstances and needs. This can include things like your living arrangements, employment, transport and social activities.
As part of the planning process, you have a say in how you’d like to put your plan into action, manage the funding and choose your service providers.
You can manage the funding yourself, nominate someone in the family to manage it for you, or use a registered plan manager such as Carer Support’s NDIS Your Way.
Finding and managing multiple providers and local services can be complicated and time consuming. We can coordinate providers and support services to suit you. Hassle-free.
Our team are dedicated, knowledgeable individuals, many of whom are carers themselves. We’re committed to giving your family unbiased support on your NDIS journey.
Our coordinators have extensive experience, in social work, nursing, mental health and disability. Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination is delivered by our AASW accredited experienced social workers.
The breadth and depth of experience in our team means that we can match you and your family to someone that suits your specific needs and goals. This ensures that we fully activate your plan and engage the best providers for you.
How much will it cost?
Our information sessions are free.
We charge the scheduled fees for NDIS plan management and support coordination. So we won’t surprise you with any hidden charges.
How do I get support?
You don’t need to live in a particular area to access our services, but they need to be part of your NDIS plan.
