Carer Support Restructuring

Carer Support and Respite Centre Inc is committed to providing the highest standard maximum services to carers. To ensure we are ready for the new Commonwealth Government funding model we have redesigned our service delivery model including an organisational restructure, a review of unsustainable programs and a reduction the number of locations. This is to ensure Carer Support has more resources focused on direct services to carers – our core business.

As part of the planned restructure, Carer Support will close its Morphett Vale and Campbelltown Centres and centralise its services for carers and seniors at the Glandore Centre.

We have also made the decision to cease Carer Support’s National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Plan Management and Support Coordination services effective June 30. We will provide all necessary assistance to our NDIS plan management and support coordination clients to ensure a smooth transition to alternative services.

All of our other programs will continue.
We would like to reassure our carers and seniors clients that Carer Support remains dedicated to supporting them on their journeys. We will continue to offer all of our existing carer services, as well as our services for seniors, and we are working hard to minimise any disruption.
The new structure will come into effect on 1 July 2019. In the coming days, we will be contacting everyone who will be affected by the restructure to discuss how this decision will impact on their individual circumstances and support requirements.

We would also like to acknowledge how difficult this time is for our staff and we ask for your understanding and patience.

In the meantime, please direct any queries to our head office on 8433 9555 and we will follow up with you as soon as reasonably practicable.
